Not every counseling website utilizes the same pricing model. Before you decide to sign up and register for any site, it is important that you fully understand the pricing model. You should stick to a service that has a pricing model you are comfortable with and can afford.
Parent/guardian consent may be required in order to proceed with online therapy.
A parent must sign up for an account at teen counseling then invite their child to join if their child wishes to receive therapy.

Description: You can try Headspace for yourself and learn the essentials of meditation and mindfulness with our free Basics course. If you enjoy it, then it’s time to subscribe.
This completely free mindfulness app was created by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)'s National Center for PTSD, with the aim of teaching mindfulness to veterans, service members, and anyone who wants to give it a try. Mindfulness Coach is a great instructive resource for anyone looking to learn about and embrace mindfulness as a healthy coping strategy and lifelong skill. Follow guided audio meditations, set goals, track your progress, and learn more about the history and benefits of this mental practice.
Description:With this meditation app, free really is free. Insight Timer offers a huge collection of more than 100,000 guided meditations with no required subscription or membership. Several sessions are even led by meditation-loving celebs like Gisele Bündchen and Russel Brand, as well as Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh. (An optional premium membership starts at $5 per month and includes offline listening, meditation courses, and other features.)
This app also offers features like meditation music and a free meditation timer that allows you to practice unguided, complete with ambient noise and a soft ending bell.
Smiling Mind is an evidence-based, not-for-profit mindfulness app with over 300 totally free meditations and mindfulness programs for both adults and children. Its mission is simple: "To provide accessible, life-long tools to support healthy minds," in schools, at home, and in the workplace.
Inside the app, explore research-backed mindfulness programs by category (e.g., at work, for the whole family, for adults) or by themes (attention and concentration, sleep, stress, relationships). Smiling Mind is extremely beginner-friendly, and you can start from scratch, learning about what mindfulness means, how it works, the research behind it, and primer meditation sessions.

Description: Self Help for Anxiety Management (SAM) app aims to help you understand what causes your anxiety, monitor your anxious thoughts and behavior over time, and manage them through self-help exercises and private reflection. The app is targeted to older teens and adults with anxiety disorders.
Description: Rootd is a mental health app meant for people who suffer from debilitating panic attacks and anxiety. One use of Rootd is to turn to the app when panic or anxiety starts. The panic button feature helps users through their anxiety or panic using breathing tools and stress management exercises.
Description: MindShift™ is an app designed to help teens and young adults cope with anxiety. It can help you change how you think about anxiety. Rather than trying to avoid anxiety, you can make an important shift and face it.
Description: FearTools Anxiety Aid is an evidence-based app designed to help you combat anxiety, aiding you on your road to recovery. This application is especially useful for those suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Phobias, and Social Anxiety Disorder.
Description: ReachOut WorryTime is based on a widely used CBT technique called stimulus control training. This involves teaching yourself to contain worry to designated periods.
Description: Targeted to help those with anxiety and mood disorders and stress, this app teaches deep breathing, behavioral exercises, excises and identifying cognitive distortions (negative thinking patterns), and learning how to replace them with positive thinking patterns.
Depression:
Description: What’s up is an app that uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) methods to help you cope with Depression, Anxiety, Stress, and more. Use the positive and negative habit tracker to maintain your good habits, and break those that are counterproductive.
My Possible Self is a mental health app that helps users manage stress, anxiety, and depression. The app uses clinically proven techniques to teach users how to manage their feelings and mood.

Description: MoodTools is a self-help app targeting depression. It provides psychoeducation about risk factors and psychosocial approaches to treatment, a depression symptom questionnaire (PHQ-9), a thought diary, a suicide safety plan, & videos.

Description: Breathe2Relax is a stress management tool, which will help you learn how to perform and use diaphragmatic breathing techniques for stress control.
Improve your mood:
Description: The first step in improving your mood is increasing your awareness of your mood itself. You'll enter mood readings that will increase awareness and show you patterns.
Crisis:
Description: Calm Harm uses the basic principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Calm Harm provides tasks to help you resist or manage the urge to self-harm.
Description: This app is designed to help people who are in danger of suicide. It asks users to identify 3 people that they can contact if they are in danger. In addition to this, the app provides resources, helps users create a safety plan, and can directly get the user in touch with 911 and/or the national suicide prevention lifeline.
Better Stop Suicide has been designed to help tackle the growing problem of suicide, which takes the lives of over 800,000 people every year.
This is a free app using world-leading psychological techniques and technology to stop people from committing suicide.
Description: The app features a large, red button that can be activated to let close friends, family and their support network know help is needed. Users can add up to five trusted contacts as part of their support group so when they hit the digital panic button, a message along with their current GPS location is sent to their contacts. The message reads: “Hey, I’m not OK! Please call, text, or come find me.”

Description: Quit That! is a completely free app that helps users beat their habits or addictions. Whether you’re looking to stop drinking alcohol, quit smoking, or stop taking drugs, it’s the perfect recovery tool to track and monitor your progress.
Description: Developed by a Harvard educated licensed chemical dependency and certified alcoholism and drug counselor, this app is for recovering Alcoholics and Addicts and anyone who wants to stay clean and sober or free from a bad habit. It gives you free, immediate help at your fingertips.
Description: My Sober Life is intended for young people between the ages of 12 and 25. It was built using the 12 Step recovery principles and in collaboration with young adults who have been successful in their recovery. This app includes a sobriety counter, daily motivational notifications, goal-setting, a meeting-finder, and educational tools authored by experts.

Description: PTSD Coach was designed for those who have, or may have, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
