The Willits Unified School District Independent Study Program is an individually designed learning experience for students aged Kindergarten through 12th Grade who are looking for an alternate educational experience to traditional in classroom education. Each student meets with the IS Coordinator to create an education plan and sign an Independent Study Contract. Students are expected to stay on track and are required to meet with the coordinator weekly to check progress, receive educational support and obtain new assignments. The attendance requirement is met through weekly work completion. All students are eligible to check out a WUSD issued Chromebook after signing the district technology agreement.

Students who do not meet the weekly attendance requirement will be removed from the program.
